Flange Sealing Injection Clamp
Project Description
The 20” Flange Sealing Injection Clamp is designed, built, and tested to seal around the flange circumference in order to inject a sealant through the clamp into the leak path. The sealant properties determined activation dependent on a pre-defined differential pressure.
The clamp is hydraulically opened and closed, and finally tightened by use of a hydraulic torque tool.
The sealant is injected through the receptacle and the flow is verified by opening and closing the ball valve.
As part of the installation tool-kit, a subsea injection skid (ROV backpack) has been designed and built for offshore installation.
Alternatively, in shallow waters, the sealant can be injected through hoses from the vessel deck.
An initial order of 3 clamps was placed by the client, with subsequent orders made for several additional clamps.
